Welcome to the 7th Government Law College International Law Summit 2016, an esteemed event organised by Students for the Promotion of International Law (SPIL), Mumbai from 29th January to 31st January 20116. This Summit centred on the theme “International Telecommunication Law,” provided a platform for distinguished legal minds, industry experts, and aspiring law students to explore the dynamic and rapidly evolving landscape of telecommunication law on a global scale.
Event Highlights:
Theme: The Summit focused on “International Telecommunication Law,” addressing key issues such as regulatory frameworks, spectrum management, cross-border data flow, cyber security, and the legal implications of emerging telecommunication technologies.
Keynote Address: Delivered by renowned experts in telecommunication law, the keynote address provided valuable insights into the global challenges and opportunities within the telecommunication sector, emphasising the importance of robust legal structures to support technological advancements.
Panel Discussions: Leading professionals engaged in thought-provoking discussions on vital topics, including international regulatory cooperation, the impact of telecommunication laws on global trade, and the protection of user privacy in an interconnected world.
Competitions: The Summit featured various academic competitions, such as the Judgment Deliberation Competition (JDC) and the Treaty Appreciation Competition (TAC), showcasing the analytical and advocacy skills of law students from across the globe.
